I'm in the destroyed world and I talked to the earth spirit but I can't get past the barrier to the town. I've gone to both sides (the one with the well and the one with the wizard) and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do know. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Who's that, if its the guy in the hut, he just says the same stuff over and over again which is that he doesn't know anything.

I think you need to talk to the guy just west of the cabin where you wake up in the destroyed world. At first, he just talks about making soup. If you can help him make soup, he will give you another idea.
