The Dink Network

The book came out at 1 minute past midnight on saturday the 16th. Has anyone purchased the book and actually finished it? I stayed up late just cause it's very interesting and i wanted to keep reading. (I finished it in an overall of like 19 hours)

Sorry DinkKiller, but I deleted your post due to it giving away part of the plot. It may seem a pretty inconsequential detail, but I'm sure a lot of people would rather not know anything until they pick up the book themselves.

If they are so inclined, that is.

What is it that makes these Harry Potter books so great? I read the first four, they were nothing special... Fun to read but not that good, in my opinion.

My theory is the books have some kind of narcotic on the cover. Why else would people queue up in the middle of the night, notes clenched in their trembling hands, waiting hour upon hour for their next "hit"?

Its just a good series, no drugs or anything like anthrax on each book covers Or maybe there is, i do not know but its just as good as the lord of the rings books. Which ended up making great movies. JK inspires kids to read, lots of kids.. I mean 6.7 Million copies were sold of her latest book in the first 24 hours... <shrug> Good profit.. Shes richer then the queen

I liked the books. I bought them at about 12:04, and finished around 4. Work was a little tough that day. Gotta re-read it though, to entrench it into my memory....

And DinkKiller, I hate people who try to ruin things for other people. Which is what you were doing by posting details of a highly anticipated and only just released book on the board.
Even though you didn't reveal anything too major, and may not have done it deliberately, I felt it was necessary to delete the post.

But Sabre... don't you think that anyone who'd seriously care about the rather benign details DinkKiller posted would have already read the book over the weekend?

Possibly. But it is by no means certain. If it had been a week since the book had been released, it would be a different story. But I don't believe every person who would want to read the book, knowing nothing of it's content (bar what can be known from previous books) will have done so by now.

But maybe I over-reacted. Ah well, won't let it happen again, boss!

i have not and will not purchase or read this book considering i am not a 11 year old goosebumps and cartoon network fan.

Well, I saw the first two movies so far and they
were quite cute.I'd rather not have anyone spoil the rest of the movies that are surely coming out soon.
