D-MOD magic
This is for anyone who knows anything about the D-MODS --- I have noticed when playing a D-MOD even if, your magic level is up there DINK does NOT possess any fire OR acid rain OR hellfire SO, then, the magic level does not really matter --- is there anyway to give DINK fire or acid rain OR such to help protect him to make use of his magic
Magic skill makes the spells be casted faster, and in the non spell dmods authours are to lazy to get rid of it, I know I dont even train my magic anymore until I actully get a spell
Usually receiving magic isn't just a spell but the D-Mod author has included it in his story and you receive it after completing a quest.. using a script to give the player magic whenever he pleases would disrupt the game: imagine a town/dungeon with no quests for magic (ie the author didn't intend you to have magic at this point in the game) and you cheat to get Fireball, Hellfire and Acid Rain
HOW can you beat some of the creatures WITHOUT fire, acid rain OR hellfire - you do not have any weapons & so it impossible to beat some without magic OR weapons
Perhaps the creature's weak or you're not supposed to be fighting it but supposed to solve some subquest elsewhere. Or you indeed have to take him down without weapons or magic.. if the author of the D-Mod has balanced the game, every encounter with foes should be possible with the weapons and/or magic given to the player at that time in the game.
I'm surprised that as of yet in no released dmods the level of your magic affects the strength of your spells. I think. though I haven't played any in a while...
Level of Magic affecting power of spell - I think it's been done a number of times. I thought I did something like that either in PQ or SOB... or maybe I dreamed it...
I don't know if I'm misunderstanding or what but it's been my experience that the magic loads faster if your magic level is higher.
It's about the damage a spell does the higher the player's magic level so it's not about loading but about the damage it deals.
No, the magic level is for how fast the spells charge up, and how much damage they do. There, happy?
I'm not happy either, I want a 10-gallon hat filled with 10-gallons of ice cream.
Well, I showed how to do something like that in the new version of my spells/items pack I sent in a bit ago (I redid EVERYTHING so, no, it is no longer total crap), so maybe some newbie authors will do it.
Sorry DinkKiller.....10-gallon hats hold......11-gallons....your going to have to deal with 11-gallons of ice-cream...sorry.
