Surely though, as a n00b, you may not be aware (as obvious as it may seem) that the Dink Solutions has walkthroughs...

I don't know about any of you but I can barely read the "Dink Solutions" graphic. It's too fancy looking.

Well, be it not so for you, but most people don't want to waste their time away hunting for a single piece of information, they want to get it in the quickest way possible. And if that way involves the message board, then they do so. mmmEh.

yeah cause every time i want to know something i go and type it here and wait like an hour or 3 days til someone answers besides clicking the thing with the words spelled out perfectly and in nice font of exactly what i need to answer my question

Yeah, but in some cases you don't want to promote sirakn-like situations. You just need to read tutorials if you want to create something. But in this case, asking a question is ok
