June the 2nd: not getting anywhere
Sometimes it's really necessary to stop working on your dmod (for a little while). I don't see how I could see through it without getting away from it. I think I'd give up, because I would lose my courage after a (long) while. I really hope I can finish the dmod, it would mean a lot to me. only knowing what you guys think about is pretty exciting. Will you hate it or tolerate it? Or maybe get frustrated so much you want to trash that computer, or maybe, very maybe getting so thrilled about it, you can't stop playing, and start again, time after time. O well, a lot of things could happen. What I'm saying is, I'm looking forward to read your reactions

Its hard staying motivated. You don't feel satisfied until you read the feedback from players, yet that could take years from start to finish. You realy just have to feel a need to create. Try a little romp with some monsters and a treasure. Then when people give thier opinions you will feel like you want to add to it or make something bigger.
I'm terrible when it comes to finishing d-mods, but I think the best advice I can give is make the d-mod you want to exist.
It's your own world, with any villains, heroes, monsters you want. So don't skimp on it! If you are going to invest the time it takes to make a d-mod telling your story, then you might as well spend every ounce of your creative powers on decorating the map... making things "different"... and, as I've said...
Just telling YOUR story. Not for other people, but for YOU.

Heh, I just wish I could motivate myself to finish Cloud Castle 2.
