I found Mandark in the woods and he told me that my magic level is to low to learn magic or something like that. I read the walkthrough and it said that I should ask Mary for some potions that would boost my magic stats (or buy them, something like that)but when I come to Mary I can only ask about the Soothsayer, no potions are mentioned. Also, I read something about some caves with magic potions in them but I can´t find them. I really need help because the Soothsayer doesn´t appear untill I learn translocation magic. Great D-mod, story 3 a little hard to get through, though.

Do you have any magic ability yet? If not you need to visit Mary's old house on the far East of the land, read a note about a scroll under the dolmen down south from the house, go to the dolmen get the fireball magic.

Mind you, you shouldn't be able to find Mandrake without fireball magic - but you never know, maybe you've found a bug or something...

As for the caves with potions, there are two: one is north west of castle (I think) and you burn a tree to get to it. The other is way down south east, below Balder's temple. Once again burn a tree.

I thought Mary sold potions once you've visited Mandrake, but it's been a while since I've looked closely at this DMOD.

I do have fireball magic and I´ve done all of that. My magic level was 5 when I visited Mandark and I got acid rain but appearantly it wasn´t enough to get translocation or any of the other spells.

You need more than 10 (or 12) magic level to learn translocation. Hellfire was 8 or 9 or something.

Try finding the caves... talk to Balder in the Temple/Church of Balance and then try talking to Mary again.

No, that didn´t work either, but thanks anyway, I solved it. I just killed monsters untill I learned translocation. Now I have another problem. I can´t get to the pear tree in story 5. Please don´t tell me I have to use translocation because I´m out of red rocks.

You don't have to get there... just stand on the end of the beach, pointing towards the tree, and talk to it.

I had this problem as well and figured out the solution: Talk to Mandrake again and exaust the dialogue options after you talk to him the first time. Mary will now sell you potions.
