The Dink Network

Now here's something original!
Jakob de Laval (please tell me if you have an account) from Sweden has released Dink Killer, an old school 2D shooter kind of game. It features many (if not all) of the Dink characters and is a rather enjoyable game. It also keeps high scores.

I'm glad somethig original surfaces from time to time. So should you. Download it right away!

When I start it, it shows an odd laughing fellow, 'Dink Killer', and 'Start', 'Help', and 'Quit' text labels. But I am seemingly unable to click anything.

Edit: Ah, you have to press Space to 'shoot' what you want to do.

I figured that out, but the game works incredibly slow for me. Although I have a bad computer, (Soon not, hopefully) it shouldn't be THAT sucky.

Slow for me too, and I didn't get anyone coming out so I tried firing at a rock, but nothing happened. A bit of a blurb on the front opening screen would've been good. I gave up after that.

I have twice downloaded this one but only can get an opening screen with no actions possible beyond that. After trying to load it directly (since readme says don't use the Dink front end), I also tried using the front end anyway. Either way, I get the same result. Running WIn98 with PIII 1ghz, so what gives?

Take note that you should point to the startbutton and press Space to actually start the game. Then, you can do the same (pressing Space) in the game to shoot arrows at people.
