Im still not very far in the game. I can't for the life of me destroy the cave monster. I've used the hit, retreat, hit tatict that I was told to use. He just doesn't seem to want to die. Help!

Do you see white numbers above him when he gets hit? If not that must be a bug. If I remember there is a pole you can hide behind, might help. It all else fails, go outside and beat up more pillbugs until you level up and get more strength. Remember not to leave the screen while a monster is injured, when you come back it will be healthy again
