Does anyone know of a good, free WAV editor? I'm trying to convert some MP3s to small wav's to use in my dmod. I've got a plug-in for winamp that converts MP3s to wavs, but the bit-rate and sterio stay the same (creating a large 31 meg file) I've found one wav editor that can convert sterio wavs to mono (reducing size to 15 meg), but I still do not know of a way to change 41 kbps to 11 kbps or 16 bit to 8 bit... Thanx

If you are using Windows, you can change the rate/mono/stereo/8-16bits using the recorder tool (File->Save As->Advanced for the dialog box).

I also heard that Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is a good free software sound editor.
