i modeled that a few weeks ago, and the colors *when rendered differently than shown* appear to work ok, so im gonna fix up the model, add some animations, and start working on a bigger graphics pack *while at the same time challenging simonk *

ray blaster, i hate shooting scripts, my idea for his attack animation was to jump up and stab you with his legs, ill get to making animations next week, cause im going on vacation tomorrow to michigan and ill be back on sunday or monday, and by the way, im serious about the graphics pack, i made a tree and some plants this morning. but i cant wait till 32 bit color!

what do you have against 32 bit? if there was 32 bit, that would motivate me to make graphics i wouldnt dare to make with this 16 bit sh*t. im probably gonna copy the original bonca model, make different animations, but it wont be the same because the colors are so difficult to copy with 16 bit! what do you have against 32 bit? everything i make would look better with it
16 bit colors is the main reason why i didnt continue on your dmod team

What do I have against 32 bit? It would change dink entirely. it would mean a lot of people wouldn't bother to download dmods of the filesize, and old dmods and dmods now being developed (like the dmod I'M developing) would be... old. "haha, that dmod is still 8bit, loser!"
I wanted to make dink look absolutely great (err, the game, not the figure) with my new dmod, using the old engine. I think that's quite a challenge. Everyone would say "wow, I can't believe this is 8bit". Now, with this stuipid 32 bit crap, the entire graphics-pat of my dmod stinks. It's a hell of a job to start all over with the graphics which means I'll certainly cancel my dmod if this 32 bit feature arrives.

ha... cmon, everybody would download it! dink smallwood has about 30 fans lol, we all know eachother! and we all play dink because its a great game, graphics doesnt mean the entire game! 32 bit would just mean a lot more graphics would come out
oh and christiaan... you wouldnt have to start over, they would just have to re-render everything again, thats like a couple days work! heck, i could even do it for you, as long as its not that blender program, i use 3ds max 5.1

im gomma make it about 1.5 times the size of a slayer, we'll see. and i started working on a giant green muscular goblin with a hammer, a beard, and a pony tail lol, i got that idea from a pic on a banner ad...

well... the model was never really made for dink! can you think of a texture design that will be seen if you put into dink? no! besides, there are different colors in the guy (purple eyes, green alien skin, the bone helmet thing growing out of his head, and his 4 spider legs made of bones, its fine!) if i was to really show off the model, it would be in high resoultion and i would fix up the model, but nobody is gonna notice in dink
graphics update: fence done, tree done, sunflower done, grass done, currently working on giant goblin king and spider alien animations
Sounds cool. New graphics (well made) are always a fantastic bonus to a d-mod!
yep... 32 bit would make them look even better! the sunflowers i made would be perfect for that *kill the hippies* dmod lol
A challenge? Ummm... ok, for what? If new graphics... well I've done some for Kyle and some for Sabre and some for Jamie... ask them if they'll release anything as a teaser and you may get to see some stuff. As for detail and 8-bit. It is possible, just look at the detail in the original graphics. And these were created with 3D Studio Max. There is some good stuff coming for Legend's Tale... some of my best stuff to date
im wonderin if they used some of the cartoon scripts... but they probably used 3ds max 4.2... which is very unsual and confusing!!
Sure, I'll release a teaser to Kupo! I was considering it anyway. I haven't seen the graphics to a Legends Tale, but I certainly think that the graphics SimonK has made for Kupo are some of the nicest looking I have seen him do.

Seth has not and will never release the original models. I asked him that personally in an email a few years ago. So there is no hope of geting 32 bit original dink gfx. Only new gfx would be in 32 bit. What do you mean by saying something like you did above?

I already added 32-bit color support, and it works completely (as long as the new graphics aren't in a ff file; soon it won't matter), along with windowed mode.
