Okay, well, I've rescued the mayor by getting the potion from the witch, and I've found a man sitting on the bench who I can't talk to. They say the D-Mod author is to the forest, but the road is blocked. I can't figure out what to do. Any tips, hints, etc?

You need to let those boys clear the road. In the mean time while you have to wait, maybe help some of the towns people. Maybe someone lost something.
