This is an epic (may end up being a very long quest) Dmod in progress, secretly started back in October 2009 and originally known only to a few. Everyone else was given knowledge that I was teaching myself to "script good" with Skeletons. Which I have also been doing, take the Quest Log for example. But I'm getting off-topic already...
Fate of Destiny pits Dink against shocking odds as two mysterious sides battle it out; One to resurrect an Ancient, the other to stop them. Unwillingly, Dink is thrust into the midst of this secret war and must choose who to aid; The honorable Dawn Knight Liberation army, or the secretive Brotherhood of Cod.
Which side will you choose?
Release Date: Tomorrow (Approximate)
Currently completed percentage: 6
Screenshots of non-demo content coming soon!

Updated the Planned Features; clearly I wasn't thinking straight (probably am not, still; 00:42 in the morning) and also added the % complete.
There's still a lot of work to be done though!

That's too tragic!!

its about time you made a dmod ex! somehow i just know this mod will be a 9.9.
I know, not somehow, but by sheer logic that this D-Mod, if it's ever released, will be in between 0 and 10.
According to those who have access, its currently worthy of a 6.5 approximately
Of course, those who have access are not known, or allowed to be known.

let me guess.... your parents?
Nope, I only live with my mum and she knows nothing of Dink.
Those who have access are Dinkers

Several months since I last posted on this thread, time for a progress report;
~Map 1's external landscape (island) has been almost finished;
~2 new bosses added
~2 towns semi-completed, unfinished internal buildings currently have locked doors
~A few attempts at importing new sprites has been made without significant success yet
~FINALLY fixed problems with the first boss
~Development changes to Ice-orb spell have been made to create ANOTHER defensive spell; Ice-spin
~A second trailer may be in production
~An explanation for why Dink loses his stats in almost EVERY new Dmod is given, though wether or not its accepted is a different matter
~Secret cutscene added to a particular bridge depending on certain circumstances
I must admit though; Work on FoD has been pretty slow these past few months with my Cookery course, but I still work on it when I get the opportunity.
More progress reports to come (I hope)!
Quick Edit: 2 more things added to the list above.
Also, those who previously had Beta access are temporarilly closed out of the loop for now I'm afraid, but at 50% I'll open up for more beta testers.

Quick update since this thread is always disappearing and I have hardly said anything about this:
The demo will be receiving a patch this month or next, finally fixing several long-standing issues (mainly the boss fight).
As for the main Dmod itself, I haven't had as much time as I'd hoped to work on it. This Dmod, however, -will- be finished

Updated heading post to include the approximate release date and the promise of screenshots.
When will you post them
Sounds like it's gonna be really fun.
Probably in 1-2 weeks, still finishing the layout for the areas I actually want to pre-share. I just keep moving things around a lot.
I've been ordered to keep working on this by a certain Kiwi in a different part of Kiwiville, so there will be kiwicookies.
I mean screenshots; Links are now in the first post (edit).

Well, keep up the fine work...

Good to see SOME males still do what they are told heh
Update:
Opened and scrolled across the map today after god only knows how long since I touched the thing. Everything is as I remembered it.
Closed it again. More updates to come.
EDIT: Jeez, this has been in development for over 5 years...

There's nothing more surprising than releasing a dmod everyone thinks is dead.
Update: Inspired by Robj's sandwich making skills, I have now added a tree to screen 143 in preparation for an update to the demo version release.
ooooh a map outline.
Looking really good! Though maybe add a bit more detail on some parts of the map.
I'm guessing when an author says epic, it must mean it won't happen. Or it could mean the author adds one tree a year.
After a month on hiatus and due to procrastination, I took a few moments today and decided "Alright Evan, it's about time."
After prowling through my hard-drive in search of my Dmod directory (completely forgetting and ignoring the shortcut to the folder sitting smack back in the middle of my desktop), I propped open WDE on the main screen and planted a tree on screen 442.
I think it really made a difference in contrast to the duck I last left there.

Ooh, nice callback to the tree on screen 442 in the original game.
I have 8 trees on screen 442.
I have 8 trees on screen 442.
Oh yeah, well I have a script on screen 442 that has an infinite loop of tree creation. No- I'm not compensating for anything. What are you implying?

I don't have trees on screen 442 yet. It's in an area I haven't gotten around to mapping yet since it's an area of the map which is part of the late game, which I haven't gotten to yet. I think I win.
Malachi the Jerk doesn't have a screen 442

I would have put a tree on it if it did.
