Graphics again....
Trying to load the start of my new graphics and have followed instructions given (is in Dink palette) but when I press e to choose them the slot is just a blue sq and shows nothing (no sprite)if I click on it ... what am I missing???
Here is what I am writing in dink.ini
load_sequence_now graphics\dksword-01 35 NOTANIM

I'm not too good at this, but maybe it should be;
load_sequence_now graphics\dksword-01- 35 NOTANIM
load_sequence_now graphics\dksword-01- 35 NOTANIM
Sorry was surfin thru the help here... tried that (thanx) but it has the same result as I was getting - blue square says I placed a sprite but nothing there... geesh I better do it on a blank screen lol I may have invisible sprites all over the place hehe
I also have experienced trouble with adding mein own sprites, but I'm too embarrassed to ask again, since I was told what to do on Dink chat, but I've forgotten.
I'm letting y'all know so if you resolve the problem, I can cash in on the knowledge.

Is the name of your graphic dksword-01.bmp? If so, you should do this.
load_sequence_now graphics\dksword- 35 NOTANIM
load_sequence_now graphics\dksword- 35 NOTANIM
Rabitwolf is right, it took some time for me to understand that to but load_sequence load all files named dksword-something (like dksword-01 and dksword-02) so you should just write dksword- 35.
Is 35 the sequence number? so if my bitmap was called "gore-01.BMP" I would write
ED.
My big problem is that my graphic is in the Dink Palette and is 8-bit, but it doesn't show up in the sprite library of WinDinkEdit, nor when I script it into the mod.
load_sequence_now GRAPHICS\gore- 35 NOTANIM?

"Is 35 the sequence number?"
Yes, 35 is indeed the sequence number the graphics will be loaded into.
"so if my bitmap was called "gore-01.BMP" I would write
load_sequence_now GRAPHICS\gore- 35 NOTANIM"
Yeh, that looks right to me.
