XMEN 3: The Last Stand
Has anyone seen it? Personally while I thought the first 2 movie's (which don't exactly follow the comic book story that much) weren't very good at all, not sure why they just didn't hit me. Became a typical comic book - film movie. So I had low expectations for the 3rd movie in the 'trilogy' (? 4th & 5th are licenced so you never know) but I was pleasantly suprised. I actually thought the film was brilliant and inspired me to go to www.wikipedia.org and find out every single piece of background information about XMEN and the comics (because I wasn't a huge fan) and then come on here and post about it.
Special effects were very good, music was epic, and the scale of everything was beautiful along with a VERY predictable plot but that is forgiven thanks to the climax of being the 3rd and final episode.
Discuss.

Um... it has been two hours, Mr. Einstein.
Haha oh dang really I just assumed I thought I saw it yesterday but my german friend was throwing *not joking* knives at me and I had to beat him up and then he broke my arm and im typing with two hands but I have to move my arm weird and... stupid german guy haha! anyways I just guessed it was 2 days. *edit* and if you think thats a little harsh for friends to be playing, they do stuff like that in Germany all the time, silly german ppl yeah hes not used to canadian customs of not throwing knives and such yet, but he'll get used to it. and he broke my arm! but I got a good shot at his jaw so its even. Man I hate germans... but I have 6 german friends WEIIIRDDD...
Yeah, I saw it the other day, after not having seen or having forgotten the first two movies. I quite enjoyed it. Lots of special effects and people doing impossible things.
It was a little marred by the fact that I was on a date I didn't really want to be on and the stupid ticket seller demanded that my date pay for both tickets - wouldn't let me pay for my own - then helpfully put us in the back row. He's on my list of people to destroy.

you should have have been like "don't you know who i am? i'm the juggernaut, she dog!"
the juggernaut just for anyone who didn't catch that awesome reference in the movie. by the way this isn't suitable for anyone under like 99 years old. or anyone who doesn't want to hear she dog or fudge or richard many times

She dog.. lololol!
Seriously though although I love Vinnie Jones, I just couldn't see him as the Juggernaught.. far too British =D
I didn't see the first two XMen movies, but I saw this one. I liked it.
Interestingly, I could've posted pretty much the same thing and it would've accurately described how I felt about the trilogy.
I didn't find the movie that enjoyable. They substituted character deaths for actual meaniful plot movements, and a lot of it was over the top. Now sure, main character death is important, and it should never be overlooked, but you need to make the rest of the characters feel the death of the character. The movie was an action flick, not a representation of what would ideally happen in a war. And for all that happend in the movie, the antagonists never won anything.
And what the hell was with the locking the car door near the end? Here, I show mercy by not killing you, but in 30 min, when the sky changes from mid day to mid night, I will take your car, crush it, and use it as a cammonball.
I just didn't like the movie.

I haven't seen any but the first movie, but it seems to me that superhero movies are way too over the top, just like movies made from video games... All the movies made from video games have been at least slightly unpleasant... with the possible exception of Dink Smallwood the Movie, which was all right, but not great.
