This is just an idea...but could someone upload a file that is a huge compilation of basic scripts? That would be highly benificial to everyone. Something very similiar to the source files from Stone of Balance and such; however, just simple scripts such as the pillbug, the barrel, the dragon, and more. If not, that is fine. Just an idea. These scrips could serve a similiar purpose as the skeleton dmods. Easily edited to the developers needs.

Why not just use the pillbug, barrel, etc. scripts from the original source code? You don't even have to include them in the D-Mod, if you specify something like 'en-pill', and you don't have en-pill.c or en-pill.d in your D-Mod's Story directory, it will automatically check the original game's Story directory.

I think it isn't such a bad idea, but there should be a tutorial around it. If not redink1 is pretty much right, then it's best just to look into the original source code...

The reason for this file would be so that they can be edited. I thought there was a program that converted .d to .c, but I am not sure at this point. But yes, if this compilation was created, it would allow the editing of those .d scripts from the original Dink directory.

You can edit the original files... you don't get them straight of the game files, you just unzip the source folder in the Development section... it has them all in .c (I think I got that right... it sounds like what I did, can't remember, too sleepy)

I'm sure there is a program, but not included with Dink, and not that can be d/l at this site. It has been argued about. Reasons against being about people stealing other people's work. The whole purpose of using .d in place of .c files was to prevent this I thought!? As for .d files with Dink, I see no purpose of having .d instead of .c other than as an example. You may ask why some dmods have sources you can d/l? This solely depends on the author and whether he/she wants his/her scripts that he/she worked hard on for someone to be able to take the script and tamper with it. For this reason, I don't think that there will be a converting program released anytime soon if at all.

ADD .d also prevents the player from cheating by changing stuff around. That very well could be another good reason for having .d files.
