ninja dev progress
My ninja is almost finished, just needs a little touching up...The main thing i need done is the ini lines, all i have for them is the sequence number and the frame delay. Can someone please work on it for me? PM me or reply to this post and i'll send it to you. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
i have fixed the white background issue, but i still need someone to work on these ini lines...would someone please help with this?
basically, i need all the ini lines for the new ninja graphics done, as of now they only consist of the sequence number and frame delay. the frame delays also need to be toggled. also, some of the weapon scripts (the ninja stars) need to be edited so that my ninja isn't throwing a star out of his head

Ah, well I don't know how to edit thing like frame delay in the ini without stuffing things up.
i have just uploaded it! it's still a little flawed, but it works for the most part. hopefully, one of the staff members will put it up soon
Don't hope too much. My Dink.ini Rewrite 3.0 has been uploaded for a while and redink1 (Tal says he's the only one who can look at the upload section) hasn't put it up.
Whoa, I didn't notice it, sorry.
Tal also received it in an e-mail, though, and we're currently discussing what to do with it... currently, skeletons are no longer accepted, and you basically turned the dink.ini rewrite into a skeleton.

That because some of the reviewers of 1.1 requested I include all of the files neccessary to be to make a dmod. It's not intended to be a sheleton dmod, it's just that it can be used as such. It's no different than some of the other packs that aren't skeleton dmods that can be used as such.
I only skimmed through the reviews available, granted, but I didn't see any request for a skeleton. Perhaps you meant that people emailed and asked for it?
Regardless of that, I don't think bundling the rewritten .ini with a skeleton is beneficial in any way. Feel free to flaunt the fact that you can copy this dandy .ini over the ones included with pre-existing skeletons, explain to people how to do so if they really don't get it.. that's fine and dandy. But I think bundling files already available here provides an insignificant convenience at best.
My apologies for not informing you of our concern with the file yesterday, and even though it isn't necessarily my fault it isn't readily available, I also apologize for the skeleton rule currently being absent from the Rules and Submitting pages.

It must of been in a forum post then, because it wasn't an email. And they didn't specifically request a skeleton dmod. Someone said something like "you should include all of the files that are neccessary to make a dmod" and a few other agreed. I'll see if I can find the post.
I was just trying to meet the requests of people wanting to use my file, which I think is a good attitude for developers (within reason). But if you and redink1 are really all that bothered by it I can repackage it in a zip file without the dmod files.
EDIT: I have repackaged it without the dmod files and improved the readme file. Beyond that I have made no changes. If you wish me to upload the repackaged version just tell me and I will do so.

Sorry to say it, but in general a skeleton consists of all files needed to make a D-Mod

I realise that, but thwe file is not intended to be a skeleton and is more than just a skeleton. The main thing that it is a set with three rewritten Dink.ini files.
So, Tal, redink1 do you want me to upload it or not? Or I could email it?
Technically, the File Upload page suggests that you only upload new files and not updates to previous ones... though I don't know how strict redink1 is on that rule, or if he really cares at all.
You could email it to me at my 'normal' address, but I wouldn't be able to reach it until the weekend since I'm too lazy to configure an email client here at my father's. You can send it to my Hotmail address and I'll look into uploading it this evening. (I will PM you)
