Could be in the next week if the latest version is bug free (well as bug free as can be... there's a couple of weird things going on which I can't track down - but what's a DMOD without bugs, eh?)

Good!!! I'm rapidly becoming bored with alternative games..... weird things hmmm sounds interesting..... well if all else fails, just stick up a sign that says "beware of weird things" or "possible game crash ahead" and stick a save game machine nearby

I do hope this happens soon, since even I am waiting really eagerly for a long fun dmod and knowing the author of this one, we are all assured of many many hours of fun gameplay.

I do hope you're not on a dial-up connection or it will be another day of wait just to download it

That's really one heck of a creative solution! And no one can complain anymore, you just say: "Hey, didn't you read the bloody sign?"

I think we can pretty much guarantee that this will be a superb d-mod, judging by Simonk's track record and the screenshots.

I just hope he's got over his dirty, almost pornographic tendencies (bouncing boobies anyone?).

I think there is a choice when you start the game whether or not you want to play the adults-only version. So the best of both worlds.

I find it interesting how people react to nudity and sex... and yes there is an option at the beginning to select BAWDY or NO SEX, so you can choose which way to play, although most if not all of the beta testers think the BAWDY is better.

My only reaction to nudity and sex in d-mods is that it just seems...well...pointless. If it's for a good cause, then fair enough.

But in any case...PQ should be excellent! But I really hope it won't have the same problems that I found with TCS : Having to level up too much.

Sabre, leveling up is the very essence of RPG's, no? Without it, it wouldn't seem very real.

Aaaaahhhhhh but! The slow unveiling of the story as our hero restlessly searches for clues is *everything* ~ Nothing compares to the feeling of that moment when secrets are revealed

No offense PureEvil, but that is one of the stupidest things I have EVER read on this board! Well...it might be, or I might just be looking at your comment from the wrong angle.

RPG's should be about role-playing a character, not simply walking between screens killing things so you can finally (after X hours) move onto the next area. Levelling up is one thing, having to repeatedly kill the same enemies (which I found you had to do with TCS) is NOT fun.

Levelling up is a part of an RPG...but it should take a back seat compared to story etc.

Which is why I wholeheartedly cheat with no shame lmao. Once I kill enemies a few times to answer : Can I kill them? What is the trick to it? Am I suppose to be able to kill these? etc, I use Ultimate Cheat "kill enemies" to get rid of them quickly. Some enjoy the long battles, for me it gets old, and I just want to end the battle fast to get on with the secret/story hunting. I figure, it works out the same way, without the cheats I'd sit in drudge and spend the time to kill them, wishing I didn't have to, but knowing I do. With the cheats I don't have that dread, and my Dink gets to level up the same as it would if I did. So it's all good

If you find all the secrets is TCS - as you go along... then there really isn't much need to fight monsters to level up.

I believe there should be a mix of secrets with potions etc and fighting monsters - after all some people like to fight monsters, some don't. Screenlock should be used to control story... or occassional as punishment - but since it has a hardness bug it is a faulty tool at best.

Pilgrim is a mixture... some monster fighting, some quests etc... but you do need to obtain certain skill/stat levels to progress in the story and reach new areas.

With all the expansions to your status (luck, honor, etc...), how can I choose just one to gain when I level up? Will you be able to choose two status to update? Three? Four?

You only get to choose one stat per level up... but there are many potions around (in secret areas, behind other objects etc) And a few enemies give potions at certain times when they die...

I think most people will need to reach level 12 to 14 to finish the game...

Oh and release date should be Nov 1st - next Friday... I hope

Yeah I guess so... I was hoping to release tonight, but more bugs turned up with the latest revision, so I've done another version... sent it to the Beta testers a hour or so ago... And that needs to be tested as I may have created new bugs or something... so Nov 1 is the earliest I think it'll get out... assuming the latest version checks out okay.

Now I'll have to delay "Rutgar's Revenge" till December to have a chance of getting DOTM...*SOB*.

It won't be ready until then anyway...but I just felt like blaming someone else.
