fireballs
Because, it is a thing too everything makes shadows!
I think it is realistic that they make a shadow, but it should have been very light, and that is hard to make look good without transparency effects.
I didn't actually notice the shadows under the fireball,
Fire makes light! So a fireball cannot make a shadow. I'm guessing its because Seth was lazy and used the arrow script, he just changed the stats.
But they have shadows in every dmod as well. oh well, I never thought about it either until now.
Another weird thing that I noticed when playing through original Dink again is that the guards tell how King Daniel's strategic brilliancy won them the great goblin invasion of '23 and that he has ruled with an iron hand for a decade. When you talk with the wizard in the ice castle, however, Dink says the goblin wars ended over 100 years ago.

The shadows help lift the fireball graphic "off" the background - simulating 3D feel to the 2D world of Dink.
If you don't like it just comment out the lines that create the shadow sprite ...

Well couldn't he have made a white shadow so to say? But I suppose there are problems with that too, including on how radiant you want to make the fireball appear.
The screen should turn bright white as if you were blinded...that'd be fun.

I think a fireball would cast a shadow, because the gas stops sunlight? I also know that it is light, but the question is how bright it is compared to the sun...
Scratcher.. It doesn't tell what year it is "now".

I think that when you shoot a fireball, the game should say, "Quick! Turn around before you're forced to suspend your disbelief," and shoot the fireball while you're turned away.
Ok, maybe I'm just crazy. Maybe that just needs to be reserved for the porn D-Mods

Eh, as long as it's an SEP, it's all good.
/kudos to the glory of D.N.A. and base 13.
