Re: grammar
how should I pronounce "bonca"
is the C like cat or like cell
and is "smallwood" like small (little) or something else?

I always pronounced bonca bonCuh
And I'm pretty sure Smallwood is just like it sounds.

BonCuh? what language do you speak, alienish?
I think the correct way (and the most logic way) to prenounce Bonca is just Bonca.. you know, like Bonkah or Bonckah, or Bonkaa/Bonckaa

:way to prenounce Bonca is just Bonca.. you know, like Bonkah or Bonckah, or Bonkaa/Bonckaa
but bonCa is more likely as a name for an animal
and it sounds better too...

Pronounced BonKa (the c should be as in : cat)it sounds much better and more "realistic". BonCa more likely for the name of an animal? Hardly! It sounds stupid and doesn't feel right.

Nitpick: That's not grammar, that's pronunciation.
I don't see any reason why it would be bonsa. In general, C is only ponounces as S before I, E or Y. Also, I always assumed the bon was ponounced as in bonk, not bon-bon.

Not before e, no.. how about these words:
-Cemetary
-Celcius
-Celing
If there are said like Kemetary, Kelcius and Keling, then I have been taught wrong.
