Most of the US's more backwards social positions have popular support, the death penalty for instance, has 60-some percent in a recent poll.

I meant pro-choice and I didn't realize it was legal in the states.And I'm 'undecided' as far as the death penalty goes...I mean, what if you make a mistake...convict the wrong person...it's happened before...there's no bringing them back after you've killed them.
