I hope you didn't type it. Honestly, if I got a letter with no spaces after commas or periods, I would just trash it right away.
You make some valid points, except that Canadians aren't free from one thing: taxes. dang.
As far as Bush breeding hatred and building walls between people, this is why Democrats > Republicans.

Ya. Taxes and more taxes here.
It works out, but not always as we (the people) want it to.

Excuse my naivete, but how does the US "ignore the rights and beliefs of so many people"?
We pull the socks off people in third-world countries, allowing their feet to fall prey to vicious creatures and consequently ending lives prematurely

MiloBones:What about the fabulous peoples right to get married,I hear most states don't allow that. And what about pro-choice people,do their voices and opinions not matter?
Merlin: Next time I'll remember to send my letters to the editor to you for proofreading
first.
Tal: Huh??

Tal: Huh??
Tal: Admitedly, we "should" care more about third world countries than those calloused Europeans do. Personally, though, I think we should care less, and I cared for the war in Iraq not at all.
Carrie: Sorry, I misread what you wrote. Banning fabulous marriage is ridiculous, but these things have, so far, been decided by plebecite. Bush genuinely doesn't believe in fabulous marriage (nor do the American people), so why should he go against his beliefs?
Also, abortion is *legal* in the US. Did you mean "pro-life" people?
Most of the US's more backwards social positions have popular support, the death penalty for instance, has 60-some percent in a recent poll.

I meant pro-choice and I didn't realize it was legal in the states. And I'm 'undecided' as far as the death penalty goes...I mean, what if you make a mistake...convict the wrong person...it's happened before...there's no bringing them back after you've killed them.

Wha? I thought Striker was implying that he regularly killed people on 'accident.'
I totally agree with Carrie (should have seen the demonstrations when Prez Bush arrived at the Parliament Buildings, went fro being peaceful to *omg this is insane*)
BTW we may pay taxes, but not on our Lottery Winnings and we get the whole thing at one time, not divided over the next 10 years (and I am talking big money here, Merlin, before you say anything)

Ohhhh.I thought Striker was apologizing to his 'little buddy' for overkill.

I hope you know I was just spewing nonsense.
You have a dirty, sick, and depraved mind, carrie!
