What DN post are you talking about? I have been here a long time, and there have been a *few* changes regarding the board(s).

I sure hope too that this doesnt become a religious thread.

Heh, no - my first post at this board was just about the fact that "hey, a new board and it's working" but I wouldn't know my first post ever at a TDN board..

Since I joined the community almost five years ago, I definitely cannot remember my first post. However, it was probably similar to most preteen drab.

My first post was simply announcing I was suddenly a part of the staff and nobody had ever heard about me until that moment. I had been around on the board but never posted before that.

mine was in 1998 at some time on the old board and i think I said something like

STFU NOOBS I AM L33T HAXXORZ

I made my first post in late 2000, (If I'm not terribly mistaken) and propably complained about some stupid script that wasn't working...in horrible english.

No. But my first bloq was about having a beta testing fetish.

I don't recall, but I do remember waiting agonizing long times for all the posts to be displayed (as default) on a 56k modem. It was a good day (tm) when I discovered how to show only the last days worth.

My mind may be playing tricks on me, but I also recall the board being wiped soon after I joined. Ahh.. the first time one expieriences web-histeria.

It's not even a real word. Who cares! Its like the time some guy told me i wasn't speaking i leet correctly. A contradiction in terms is speaking leet correctly! The same goes for slang abbreviations for internet terms such as Bloq for WeB LOG.

You're nitpicking. Drake is one of the lesser percentages here that almost always uses correct sentence structure and spelling (and, woo-hoo, w/o throwing in foul language usually). He's pretty much straight on with his usage so......

Edit: Ohhh-----I shouldn't have thrown that "foul language" thing in there...hope bunnie or josh doesn't read this...I'll have to cover my eyes.

Ahh, you're right. I'll blame it on Canada.

Why do you hate Canada? Their a nice and docile country. Just because they're mother Englands mama's boy and they never had a girl friend in highschool doesn't mean we should pick on him. So what if America is the cool one. Canada is alot smarter and harder working. Mama wishes our America could be more like Canada.

Would you rather me blame you or Canada? And that's not a yes or no question.

I don't remember what it was, but it probably involved egging on news comment fights between Tal_the_Templar and butthole.

Well, one guy was obviously a butthole, the other had trouble writing legible sentences.

I don't have a clue... it was a long time ago.

The first post I remember was when I declared Sharp and Simeon my mortal enemies, and proceeded to flame Redink. More than once.

Those were the days.

Hmm... that must have been back when I had left for several months... I just remember that when I came back, I saw that two new guys were having this huge feud (you and Jamie).

So where are all these flame wars you guys talk about? Have all the flamers left or become docile and harmless? Could you care to provide a link to one of these flame wars from the past...I would love to see it.

Those ancient wars (by Internet terms) are so old that this board didn't even exist yet. Except in our memories, I believe they are forever lost.

I used to be a very mean fish, and Jamie/Iceman/Morpheus/D4rk/Tomsthebomb was a fudgehead. We almost got on at times, mostly because we had some common ground (being the only English Dinkers). But he was a wanker.

So I yelled at him. All the time. It was fun, but I got official warnings and the like.

It makes you wonder if any of the newer arrivals are Jamie in one of his many "disguises".

I think it was something about Milder! 1 when every sprite on the screen was turning into pigs that grunted and went around. And that was one LOOOONG story, but anyway, I think that's how I entered the community.
Oh, and then I had that some guy from school pretending he was me and posting on my account or something like that.
