I have been working on Sjoerds quest for 4days now and the longer I try the better I get the hang of this dmod stuff. I now have created a small game what should take about 15minutes to finish. I just added music and I have got some nice conversations. I will finish my little game and then I'll see what to do with it. (I am gonne make it a big game, that's for certain) But untill it's totally finished you'll have to do it with my blogs and the demo files I'll produce.

I want to thank these people for helping me create this Dmod:
Magicman: He helped me A LOT! And I mean A LOT with the scripting. He explained a lot of things. Thanks to him I have working doors/stairs and music. Thanks man!

The game is totally finished now. I'll let 2friends and someone from this site test it. Thanks for the advice.

This is just gonne be a little romp... Actually it is more a Demo, and I think I am gonne name it that way. Ah well, we'll put it at romp. But don't forget, this is the start of an Epic/quest so keep an eye out there.

Reviews always had to be validated to be seen. But with the new upload thingy, it's quite obvious the files should be checked, it shouldn't automatically display whatever gets uploaded; we'd get crap all over

That the review is short... If you write a long and the type of a review that appeals to the staff, it'll be marked as "excellent".

you've got alot of hardness errors in the first house...it has really been bugging me.
(The bookshelves, and the table.)

I haven't seen tham, but I'm usually not smashing tables ...

I don't know what happened, first everything was correct, but later on, it seemed that a lot of hardness bugs returned.. kind of strange....

I majordy changed my demo. I added some things(you can now follow the old man, as well as knight killerzenshi) I took away a lot of bugs(Hardness errors, boss returning) and I added some of my own graphics. (I used the graves of SimonK, hope he doesn't mind) I asked Redink if he could delete my other Dmod and put the better one up...

No, it's not yet up. Alan will override it when I put it up. This one will be named Sjoerds quest v0.11 but the next will be entitled with the real title.(Afcourse sjoerdje's quest is not gonne be the name of a game!) Anyway, I'll post it here if I have finished it. Just gotte draw some more graphics etc.

After having some words with Redink, I decided not to put it up anymore. It will be put up when it's finishes. For that, I'm gonne need beta testers. Magicman is already a beta tester(I hope lol) and now I'm looking for 2more vaulenteers. I was thinking about legolas, because he posted here a lot, but I still have to ask him.

You know, I've always wondered how people get up there to the side of the bridge. You can't really bend over the top, and a ladder would be iffy.

Can someone tell me howcome the script attached to a sprite suddenly disapears? The woman and maximus's scripts are suddenly missing!! They just disappear!! That's really stupid!

Or do you mean they become unattached to the sprites you attached them to? If so, have you changed their brains? Because that seems to unattach the script in DinkEdit (for me anyway).

So... let me get this straight. You are using Dinkedit, and after attaching the scripst to the appropriate sprites, you press escape to go back to the main section of the editor (with all the purple squares), and then press space, so the whole map comes up?

Is that it? When you go back into a particular screen, the scripts are now unattached?

I would be a lot easier to help if you took the time to explain exactly what is happening.

I did explain it... I made my game. I added scripts to sprites. Then, on a day, I press space, so I see the whole map. (you know, all the red squares become what they are in small form) Then, suddenly, it seems that the scripts are no longer on the sprites. The rest is still the same(speed, brain etc.) but only the script has vanished. (Not the script in the dir Story, but the script which was attached to the sprite in the editor)
At least, that is the only thing I remember. I don't remember me doing anything else, so....

Bug with woman: yes, I mentioned that above, it is strange that it suddenly lost it's script. I can send you the good file or you could just go to dinkedit, then to the square with the woman(I believe it is around 65) and then give her the script info1.
Same for maximus. He doesn't have a script either. Go to square 40 or something (with maximus in the house, not John with the radio) and call the spirte maximus1.

More precisely, the woman is on square 67, and Maximus is on square 36.

*yawn* time for a little update on my blog.
My pc has been repaired. Now this doesn't only mean I can work on my dmod again, but it also means that WinDinkEdit works(dunno is it was the pc or the patch of WC, ah well )So now I can make all the bugs with "walls" fanish. At least, that's the idea... My radio still has a red background, have to fix that to white and make the white disappear... Beginning to create the bonca park. That's it

As you can see, I changed the title. The Dmod is gonne be called Cure for Stop. I have changed some things to the Dmod. Changed Sjoerd Smallwood back to Dink Smallwood, fixed a lot of hardness errors. Working on the park. Last Blog Reply
