At first, I thought Bunnie was trying to be funny and just get some topic going. On the off chance that he's serious, and considering some of the innocent answers, this does deserve a serious answer.
In the US, everybody under the law is considered an adult at age 18. You might not be able to vote but you can do jail time for statutory rape of a minor. Or child molestation or whatever statute the law wants to use. Say, ex., her parents don't want her seeing you, they simply turn you in. Or a friend of hers or yours get angry at you, ditto. You're in jail waiting to go trial. In the eyes of the law, it wouldn't matter if you had been dating her for years and/or having consensual sex; when you turned 18, you are an adult committing a sex crime. Beware!

the drummer of my old band got a 16 year old pregnent. he is 21 i think, 22 soon. he wont get in trouble for it because her parents consented them seeing each other or something. i live in michigan too. so yeah, the whole statutory rape thing is only if you bang a girl whose parents dont want you being around her.
Actually Josh, anybody can turn him in, not just the parents or friends. Those are the ones most likely to turn someone in but they can be turned in by, say, a counselor, a church member, a dissaproving or concerned family member, or just about any busybody that knows of it. But whether the law would act on the information if the parents and girlfriend didn't want then to, well that could be a different situation. There are plenty of baddies they need to go after. However, do you want to bet your freedom on it? And as for your friend, he'd better step lightly and keep his girlfriend and parents happy. They have the law behind them.
Does anybody ever read "Dear Abby"? She has a letter from a bitterly angry family member whose nephew was turned in. It seems this young man had dated a girl for years. This girls parents did not want him dating their daughter and when he turned 18 they turned him in. The young man is serving time now and the letter writer is quite angry about it because the boy is now labeled a rapist for the rest of his life. Crappy situation but it happened. To me, the parents of the girl were lousy parents and lousy people. They were the ones at fault but they made the boy pay. Their daughter will despise them forever. She learned nothing but hatred and vindictiveness from this situation. The parents let the child run wild and did not teach her any values, and then it was too late to stop her when they wanted too. There must be love and respect on both sides if you want your children to listen to you.
Oh brother listen to me ramble on. Sorry. But it's hard out there and children need to learn early to respect and listen. And parents need to listen to their children and use love and respect for their views also.

no you dont understand, if the parents of the minor consent to the relationship when the sex takes place, it is not illegal. he broke up with her after she was pregnant and they TRIED to take him to court, but cant because of this. so she is trying to take him to court saying that he bit her or something because they have no other way to prosicute him.
Ok look at it this way. If bunniemaster is 19 and he made out with a willing 15 year old girl and some people think that is sick or illegal, then why isin't it a problem if a 26 year old man and a 22 year old woman get married? It's pretty much the same thing. If she is willing and wants to, then what does it matter?

There can be pretty big differences between a 15 year old's body and a 19 year old's body, but not too big between the second pair you mentioned. Also plenty of that maturity stuff Simon talked about.
Actually, I heard that around 15 to 25 is a good time (biologically) for a female to have a child because of the high quality of eggs released during that time. So... go have sex, now. Nature wants you to.
