How are you people doing?
Hi.
The Finnish Summer is here once again. It is green, warm, beautiful and very mosquito-y outside -- the time when the Hammer of Nostalgia always hits the hardest.
I just realized I created this account, uhhh, oooffff, like 23 years ago? Looking back, an amount of time that seems both like a lifetime and a blink of an eye.
I've just spent some minutes refreshing my profile page, looking at the Random Posts, and dying of cringe. I've always known that I'm kinda ducking weird, but oh man...............................
How's it going, people?
EDIT: to be fair, I think everyone that is approaching their forties would find their 14-year old me pretty cringe haha

My policy is to never look at my old posts.
Definitely nothing before 2006 or so.
Some time ago (like a year or three ago at this point probably) I asked chatGPT things about Dink for fun, and it kept bringing up Chores as an example all the time. I have no idea why.

Winter just started here and I have been given the winter gift of chest infection.
Other than that, can't complain, lol.

My Dinky doings have slowed to a crawl, but hopefully not for long!

So, what in the way of all things Dink is on your horizon?

Old cringe posts eh? Yeah... Lately I've been archiving those. They'll serve me well to enforce obedience once I start taking over this community.

So, I discovered this game only in 2025, I actually didn't know about it before although I'm a 90s kid. And it's such a SOULFUL game. It's like mac&cheese in the world of computer games. It's sweet, cozy, hilarious, the visuals are endearing and the original soundtrack was picked with such good taste.
The only downside is that it's too short and that instead of just a few more fun plot twists and locations the original authors devoted so much time to just farming the coins. It was NOT fun.
None of the D-mods have the same humor and endearing quality and while I loved some of them, truly, none of them match the original. The original game is racy but it's like a 12-year-old trying to sound racy. The D-mods are largely just racy for the sake of it.
Also, I have when a D-mod is trying to be philosophical. Haven't seen a good example of that.
If anyone could advise a game that has... Not even similar vibes, but the same amount of taste and care (preferably humor, too), I'd really appreciate it. Right now my go-toes are Dink and Zoo Tycoon II which is also an absolute masterpiece. I just love it when a game has unique vibes and its own unique world.
