Ive installed/uninstalled Dink several times over the last 5 years with no problems, but this time something strange happened. Anytime i run the original Dink or a D-mod it will run ok, but the graphics will be flashing, as well as any text shown, the games are still fully playable but the flashing trees/houses/enemies/barrels/ are extremely annoying, any suggestions/any one had this problem before and can offer some advice? Thanxxx

You might want to try using the 32-bit mode enabled dink.exe (downloadable here).

Make sure the *Enable Log File*, is not checked.

Gotta get that! But still...if he has 16-bit it should look fine, if he uses 32-bit it could mess it up! :-/

OK! Through some meandering ive discovered the answer, so for future reference here it is: "1. Problem with hardware scaling with the RUSH chipset. (Stringray & 3dBlaster Banshee both use this chipset)

To turn off the hardware. (may slow down other games, so don't forget to turn it back on when you are done..)

To do this, run DXTOOL.EXE (comes with Directx 5+) and should be found in your control panel. If that fails, search your entire HD for DXTOOL.EXE.

UNCHECK "Direct Draw Acceleration".
" YAY!!
