If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I have used AVG for years now, and generally I was really happy with it. But since I have the new version, AVG has many errors, like being unable to update, make Firefox crash, slowing things down, etc.
I still use it out of habit, but I'm sure there are better alternatives available now.
