My name is Sir Frederik Madwood. I used to serve under the previous ruler, King Goodheart. I was sent on the most dangerous missions but I was the only one able to keep my cool.
One of those missions was to the haunted forest of Kwarkness. In it were ghosts that represented the biggest fears known to man, beasts that were so ferocious that Slayers seemed like lapdogs, other creatures that could breathe fire so hot that dragon flames felt like ice cubes in comparison.
And yet other beasts had such thick hides that Stone giants' hides seemed like paper. And those were the weaklings.
The first few metres went okay, but then those cowards ran away and I was on my own. I could only hear them scream "Good luck Sanity!"
I pressed on, walking in the forest for hours, staying as calm as possible. After I found the item that we needed to bring back, I went back.
When I left the forest, the others went nuts, and started screaming unintelligibly, the only words I could grasp being;
"Sanity! Give back our Sanity!".
The few still sane knights went back with me where at the castle they gave the report which caused the ruler to give the order to banish me. I was banished from the kingdom with only my armour and my axe. And the name Sanity.
Now I'm walking the lands and trying to find a place to call home.
