I used the charred popcorn (dev, I believe you called it?) a few times during the campaign and found it ineffective, but I agree that a swarm of Mutalisks can be good in a mixed force. (eg 2 squads Mutas, 3 squads Hydras, 1 squad Ultras)
When you support the Terran marines with Medics, Flamethrowers and SCV's building bunkers all over the place where you advance it kinda ruins the zergling's attack chances.
And yes, scratcher, I didn't hate the Lurker. I disliked it seeing as the amount of Detectors scyrocketed copared to stealth units (Unless you count a group of units under an Arbiter) and that it fired in a straight line towards its target. If an enemy group came in with a single forewards line through a canyon, sure, easy damage. But if you place it in the middle of nowhere and it gets surrounded, it's gone.
