I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to.I guess.
There's no protest against anyones religion, the protests Anon carried out were against the church itself. There is a fairly convincing argument going around that paints the church as a ponzi scheme. I'm too tipsy (go Tuesday Keggers!, Sigh.) to fully explain it, but the basic jist is,

Any other religion, when you ask to learn about them, will tell you about them, and give you their holy books, etc.
When you ask the COS about their religion, they start asking for cheques. They are the only church that can have their members pay tax-deducted 'training' courses: such things for other religions are *not* tax-deductible. (at least in the US)

They also victimize people, for real and imagined failures, aka, not believing in Xenu when you are a high enough OT level, etc, etc. This isn't a fault of them not teaching you properly, this is YOUR fault, and it IS a fault. You get worse and worse treatment by the organization, where you basically get people living with a horrible case of Stockholm's syndrome. And then theirs Sea Org, and yeah. Basically the only ones who get anything out of it, are people near the top. And they get money.

That's what anon hates. Anon is trying to save the scientologists, from themselves.

Look up operation clambake, and read the wiki on it for a short idea of what Anon is trying to do with this.
