Dragon, thanks... I thought it was a driver issue too... but I uninstalled the drivers for my CD/DVD drive, and just the Toshiba Drives driver... to no avail... is there anything else I should uninstall driver-wise?
Merlin... as for your bootable disk suggestion, I required time, that is all. I clearly said on several occasions I was on the other side of the world from my CDs, and have only just got access today to another computer so I can try to burn one... suggestions?
