No, since they modify the DMOD, but are not the author's. I think you shouldn't change the content of files made by someone else(unless the author gives you permission). But making something like this that helpes others is always appreciated, I think that it is a great compliment if someone makes an add-on for your DMOD, while including it in a file is more like a 'your own work wasn't good enough yet' statement. (this is just my own feeling though...)
