Yes, Bush does have intelligent people working for him. They are also people I wouldn't want running the White House. For instance, Dick Cheney receives $100,000 from Halliburton in addition to being vice-president, which is illegal. Why is this allowed to happen? Well, it has happened years on end at corporations here. The administration runs the US like a corporation, so they should be given blame for the failing economy like any CEO. Desertgrl, can you say that Bush knows more about politics or anything in general(other than Texas legislature) than John McCain? How do you think he got the nomination? Was it his genius to outsmart the opponent in debates? And who says you think like an average person? Presidents have often been people who don't have high educations, like Andrew Jackson. A lot of people look for that "jolly, good gosh golly" quality in our president now that the labor union thing and "working man" attitudes aren't so high anymore(or at least they seem that way).
