You feed the madness, and it feeds on you.
[Warning: Spoilers ahead]

that mumble about "Up-Up!.." is a default, "nothing to talk to" say line in this dmod.

As for the other stuff... I will give a few hints.

Snowball - the NPC to give it to is nearby(same town) where you received it. If you go back and talk to the NPC who gave it to you, they should give you a name, if you can't remember who that is. Male or Female name narrows it down of which NPC's to try delivering it to.

"The watery grave" golem thing.. well, there was only one normal stone golem up to this point that you killed so far, it was a while ago..

As for the boss being a piece of cake... your stats are quite impressive.. lol. The issue comes with the fact that since this dmod is very open map.. that is you visit many areas several times, it was very hard to balance, I included a small boost to enemies as Dink levels up to a cerain point to help combat this. For some that tested, I had complaints the enemies were too difficult later on, others said it was a cakewalk. I left it how it is, becasue you can always grind levels to kill enemies easier, but I don't want to make them any easier since some ppl said it was too easy. Depends how you play and level. But grind enough, the Dmod will always be easy, no matter how much I end up buffing the enemies. Also, it sounds like you found a lot of the secrets that lead you to be more... formidible, and gave you better weapons. Some people won't do that, and they are optional. Actually, I'll add some stat checks on the end boss, and alter his stats a bit more if the player has built higher stats such as yours.

In other news, I found a couple more bugs in my own playthrough I just did on my Linux VM (some linux specific bugs, other ALL platform bugs), I'll be uploading another update soon to fix these (in the next couple days. I wanna do one more playthrough on DinkHD, and FreeDink windows, to try and make this the FINAL update)

Edit: the poem about the lost key.. from the screen near the first tile puzzle? Nothing of worth. An indirect round about hint on an approach to solve the tile puzzle. Not sure what you're referring to with the clue from the bookshelf before you got the liquor... If you're talking about the bookshelf with the reference to TGKA, that's just a reference.

Edit2: The quest 'lockouts' are not level based, rather main story progression based. I believe there's only one quest that you can lock out if you don't get it before a certain point. Also, it requires some other side quests to be completed to get it though.
