I assume you mean that we must limit DinkC .c filenames to 8 character strings and DinkC variable names to 18 characters.
The simplest case would be that each dmodder has 1 screen, and Dink must be able to enter from right to left between y-coordinate values of say... 100~300, and exit to the left on the same y-coordinates, thus entering again from right to left on the next screen, on and on and on...
If each dmodder has 1 screen each, then this (it seems to me) will be a short dmod as it looks like there are very few following this discussion beyond you, me and (perhaps?) Skurn. But I suppose that is ok. I'm spending a lot of time on my "Before..." dmod of late.
I think we have worked out about all of the basic rules here. Now, how can we get more dmodders to "sign up"?
