You seem so mature for 14 Bluedy - grats on how well you seem to have handled something that was entirely out of your hands yet effects you every day.
I really hate that piggy in the middle stuff, its hard to stop from their side too cause they are emotionally envolved and will take time to change.
A msdinky secret weapon for that is one little sentance that stops people dead in their tracks - when they start on the "other side' as you so beautifully called it, looked a little surprised and say "Ooh, well they only ever say the nicest things about you.." and leave it at that and walk away while u can (it usually floors them) - no matter what, use it every time they start and its amazing how it stops the nasties like a click of the fingers, it also lets them know you arent a carrier pidgeon with news from 'the wild' every time you go away.
