C'mon, man, my post was dripping with sarcasm. Comparatively nobody has heard of Wolfenstein. There's wide public knowledge of Doom, though, because it drew a lot of attention in the 90s with the "violence in games" scare of the time (Also because it was extremely popular for its time).
I am actually not into FPSes at all. I'm terrible at them and don't enjoy them. The only exceptions are old ones, and I mean nothing past Quake II.
