Nobody is going to guess what your favorite FPS, except to get you to shut up about them not asking. Just state your favorite and give reasons why you like it.
Wolfenstein 3D was a good one, but it didn't popularize the genre. It is one of the earlier examples, considered the Ur Example, even though there was an FPS before it.
