People who say the Xbox One is crap most likely didn't actually watch the E3 conferences and are either relying on the reveal info from like a month ago which was mostly crap, or are only hearing about the negatives from both that and E3, which is what people like to focus on.
The Xbox One will be getting some pretty cool games. I loved the Forza 5 reveal, it looked freakin amazing to me, and a few other games looked really sweet as well. The whole TV/multimedia whatever is cool, but it doesn't appeal to as many people as Microsoft thinks it does. Gamers want consoles primarily for gaming. The TV/music stuff should be a bonus, not a focus of the console. The PS4 is all about games, which is what most people want.
The console has its strengths, but it has major flaws that people just love to focus on. The PS4 isn't perfect either, it requires PSN for online now, which is slightly cheaper than Xbox Live Gold, but infinitely better.
