Reply to Game Freezing up

I am in the house where the eggs hatch and when I talked to the old man or lady, the game froze. I then got back into the game and the eggs hatched went to talk to the old man or lady again...game froze. I saved just before talking, but now I cannot get back into the game at all! I get to the opening screen, click continue, then click on my saved game and nothing. Just sits there and I have to turn off computer to get out of it. This has happened more then once and I am not going to try it anymore until a different version comes out or a patch to fix this. Thought you might like to know.
