Totally agree with Metatarasal. Been thinking the same thing. If the amount of D-Mod uploads and development file uploads were flipped around, I think the results would be quite nice. 
EDIT: In fact, I've been wondering why newcomers these days either just hang out on the forum, or start creating development files. I would much rather see them create their own D-Mods. Surely, if one has enough skill to create a completely new editor (or pretty much any development file), he should have enough skill and patience to create a D-Mod.
