Okay, Skull. What is it that you want me to do? You already made me feel like crap before in a previous thread recently, and I stopped talking about a certain subject out of respect for you because I still have respect for you. Should I automatically start being the kind of person who doesn't care if there's a troll on the forum who keeps insulting people? Sure, sometimes I don't 'behave' like a normal person, sometimes I'm not like everyone else, but that's just me. Everyone else is like that. Hell, this board practically thrives on weird.
I care a lot about Dink Smallwood due to its fun gameplay and storyline and because of the childhood memories associated with it.
I care a lot about the Dink Network because a lot of the people here are polite, funny, and helpful.
Most of all, there are a lot of people here whom I respect greatly not because they've made a few good D-Mods and interesting reviews, but because they did so with a certain style that is their own.
I respect you, Skull, and I respect your opinion.
But, the problem here is not a bunch of people who are making other people look like idiots or jackasses.
It's been proven multiple times that simply stating a problem doesn't solve it, nor does it solve it. I can not state 'My homework isn't done' and have it done by tomorrow without having to do some of the work.
And therein lies the problem.
We're all here, a lot of people who can do little to nothing to try and keep the board peaceful.
I've tried giving rational thoughts on how to deal with a situation, I've never used my personal views and beliefs to try to solve a problem because I know that everyone here has different views and beliefs. I've tried to protect the DN that I know and love from the ravages of trolling, even got hot-headed enough to 'yell' at Predator or Skorn somewhere along the line.
Skorn was banned once and we gave him one last chance despite the fact that he was a terrible spammer. We were lucky enough that he didn't turn out too bad.
Predator, despite all of his constant spamming and hatred-filled topics, has not been banned once or been given a decent warning. All we have been able to do is say, 'Stop doing that!' and hope to our Deity that somehow he will stop. I've done nothing in the past few days but try to keep this place from turning from an active, fun forum to the near-ghost town it is. The past few days there was little to no activity from anyone except Dinkulum and LordDack. Without them, there would have been no activity whatsoever and who knows what could have happened? We recently got a new member and we all probably scared them away, and what makes that fact bitter is that I also contributed to that. We've all gone from happy, carefree people who could practically talk about anything, and I'm sure if I had chosen a different time to reveal my little quirk that you so bluntly told me to stop talking about, there wouldn't be as much irritation pointed toward me.
The masonry that has held TDN together for years has been crumbling, yet we keep trying to fix these cracks and groans with glue and duck tape. Most of the staff members have probably fled and while everyone else is either fighting, debating on whether or not to leave, or grabbing hold of this place for the good memories that it had given them, you have tried to get the DN back on track like me.
It's clear to me what needs to happen, I think it's been pretty clear what needed to be done long ago.

I'm going to try to bring either ReDink1 and/or Tal back to fix the mess we all made.
And then we're going to help them fix it if possible.
