You're supposed to move Nate into one of the little houses with red barrels that are bombs to blow everything up. Then you get to control Bowgirl again who is then able to flip the switch from afar to free Charles.
Then he follows you around. It crashes for me afterwards when going back to the previous screen. I can't seem to figure out why.
