I don't think anyone here isn't greatful for what Redink has done and is still doing. Thing is, we just had Sharp post that she would never ever come back here because of the sorry state of the forums. Doesn't that tell you anything? It doesn't even have anything to do with contributing or whining about it, it's just the reality of things. Therefor, I think we desperately need the forum functionality to deal with this issue. I can think of a number of things to fix this:
Warning system
IP ban (only on the most obvious of trolls)
Upvote/Downvote that hides low rated posts (this could work)
Now we as members can contribute all we like, we can't implement these features. So, it kinda sucks to make a development thread or a release thread only to have it swamped in a needless amount of flame bait.
