I had a busy, I only get to check this now. Wow, lots of stuff!

If you ever have any clue / error message about it, let me know.

DFArc looks in several places to locate dink.exe/dinkedit.exe, so to avoid getting a huge list of executables, it filters with *dink*exe. This makes DFArc behave the same way across all platforms. You still can type any executable manually. This probably can be improved by listing *.exe if that's in the main Dink directory, in which case wde.exe would be listed directly. Ah! I also see that it searched for lowercase "*dink*" only, so it missed WinDinkedit (with a cap "D") - fixed!

A matter of taste. I find it dynamic

FreeDink has better compatibility than v1.08, in particular it doesn't break D-Mods released before 2006.
So I don't understand your comment - what did I miss?
