If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
It's a problem that a lot of people have complained about. I don't have Vista myself, but try this:
Open Windows Explorer. Click the 'Organize Button' and select 'Folder and Search Options' then select the 'View Tab'.
Under 'Hidden Files and Folders' select the
'Show hidden files and folders' option.
Remove the check marks from the
'Hide extensions for known file types'
and
'Hide protected opertaing system files (Recommended'
options.
