The guy selling bowlore was socially awkward and liked to live away from the rest of the world. He chose to live underneath a burnable tree so that one day he would get the chance to meet a tree burning, tight wearing psychopath with lots of money on him. As long as he would live secretly underneath that tree he figured that he would also be safe from being held responsible for the mayhem this tree burning, tight wearing psychopath would inflict upon the world with his new power. Sadly the thought that he would be killed by his only costumer never crossed his mind.

Mog was working for the Cast as part of a deal he made to get a catapult from them. He wanted to use this catapult to launch beheaded ducks at society because the goblins were still very pissed off about losing the war. This was obviously an ancient goblin insult that the humans would soon be all too familiar with. This probably would have happened if it weren’t for Mr. socially awkward who sold bowlore to the one and only tight wearing psychopath that decided to kick some Cast butt.
You can actually notice how these things had been set in motion. The catapult was already transported to the Cast camp so they could hand it over to Mog once they had finished their business. In the screen south of the Cast camp lies a duck head which indicates that beheaded ducks were already collected to test the catapult. I'm not sure what their target for testing was but it could just have been the social awkward bow lore guy who didn't dare to stand up for himself because he was afraid that the Cast would yell at him for it. Instead he chose to hide underneath a burnable tree.
