I'm trying to get the alchemist to
bring up the subject about making some
beer. NO luck!? I tri ed every
aproach I could; but no such luck!
I've played this a long time ago, and
I read the discussion files, but it's
not mentioned?
Any ideas?
Thanx, Lance.

Daniel, there are clowns.
I don't think the alchemist can actually make any beer.

Well, the walkthru says he's the goblin to talk to. In the mean- time, I'll keep trying.
There's gotta be a sequence of conver-
sations in order to complete this area
if there wasn't, I'd just skip this part
but it's probably important!?
AM I even close on this?

If I remember right, you'd have to talk to one of the Goblins in the pub/bar. (Goblin Village). Can't remember, which one, though...

I believe that you don't get beer from anyone in the game, actually.

I played POTA within the past month. This part IS important. Without it you can't get into the chief's house. You do have to talk to a goblin in the pub. Just talk to all of them. The one you need complains about 'no silly drink' or some such. The options for the alchemist change based on conversations with the inventor and the rock collector. The exact order is in the walkthrough. Once you get the beer you give to the goblin in the pub, and he takes care of the guards by the chief's house. Just make sure you are ready to leave the goblin town before seeing the chief.

'Just talk to all of them.' Try to exhaust all conversation with all goblins in the pub. Also, make sure you are not just talking to the bartender, as I remember he would pipe up if the goblin I wanted to approach was too close to the bar itself. Let them move away from the bar first. Specifically, I think the goblin you need carries a big axe if I remember right.

'Not an axe!! He probably meant sword.'

Actually, it's a pole axe. There are 2 goblins in blue/gray uniforms with poleaxes and shields. Talk to both. They don't say 'beer', one says 'silly drink'. After that, the option for beer at the alchemist should work. Cost is 1000 gold. (I restarted the game to get the details) Good luck.

You mean the yellow Goblins? They have not got an axe!! They've got a sword!! Not that it matters...

Wow, Skull. Actually I think he means the rainbow-coloured goblins, the ones with the pimp canes and fedoras.

I've always wondered what they had. It looks to me like a kind of big concrete flag

Honestly, I don't think I've seen any goblins in any D-mod with any kind of sword. The slow ones carry a big blocky hammer, and are colored green. The faster ones are as I described above with the poleaxes and shields. The only other ones I know of are the 2-headed ones with spiked clubs. Haven't seen any yellow ones myself. Maybe they ride pink elephants?

I misunderstood. I was describing the armor and such. I guess I just overlooked their skin color. But that is the type to talk to in this case. And those 'flags' hurt until your defense is built up some.
