Graphics Numbering
I am presently experimenting with some various creations in JASC-PSP-7 & Corel-PSP-XI, and I was wondering if there is any set preference as to numbering and name structure of new bitmaps.
Also, am I required to provide a scripting file for insertions, etc? If so, it may be a whole bunch longer before they are released, as my brain only seems to work in one mode at a time. Guess I'm getting too old for this stuff.
Typically, I try to keep the number of characters in the file name under 8 characters, but that only really matters if you want to ff them later. Other than that, all your graphics are sequentially number for each sequence. You *must* add numbers to the end of each file, otherwise the engine won't load them based on the information it gets from the Dink.ini.
If you're talking about releasing them to the public as a graphics pack... you don't necessarily need to provide a scripting file, but it's certainly nice and less work for whoever downloads them. At the bare minimum, I'd make sure that you at least included .ini lines for them so that they could be easily modified and implemented by others.
Also... why are you misquoting Yoda?

Thanks Striker for the information..

To see if people really pay attention. Its surprising just how many people fail to notice.
