The Dink Network

So now I have both Snedfee & Gimacs weapons (finally) & all 5 elements.Why can't I make the ultimate weapon? Do I need to go to the castle & defeat all the knights again before I can?

No... hmm. You might need a normal version of the weapon, too.

Have bought a normal sword,went back to the guy on Rai but still can't make the ultimate weapon.I know I'm doing something wrong,just can't work out what.

If you're not sure, how about sharing us a save file to check it out, perhaps?

Please don't laugh but I have no idea how to do that. I just like playing Dink & don't understand all the technical stuff! So what do I do?

Open C:\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\FIAT\ and upload one of the SAVE#.DAT files somewhere.

If this is difficult for you, asking what stuff you have that determines where in the game you are will help too, but I myself haven't played this Dmod in a while so I can't really help.

Found the file but when I tried to open it,it came up with a error thingy and said that this is not a valid dmod file.Maybe I will try & get through the game without an ultimate weapon. If you can suggest anything else I'll try it and thanks for all your help.

Daisy, it's a save game file for this Dmod. Only the Dink Smallwood engine, and then only this Dmod, will be able to open and use that save file. Not Windows.

What I meant is taht you can upload/send/whatever that file so other people can load the game and see where you are and what you need to do, and Redink1 just offered to do that.

Go to the C:\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\FIAT\ like DaVince just said. Then you'll see "STORY", "TILES" "MAP.dat" etc. There is aswell some saves. Try to figure out, which one is the latest save you are at. Then, send it in e-mail. (The save). If you post the e-mail e.g: to Redink1, he will take care of the rest. That isn't so hard, is it?

I just had a thought- How many weapons of Snedfees & Gimac do I need to find? I have a sword & a bow but do I need an axe as well before I can make the ultimate weapon? If thats the case, I've been a bit stupid then haven't I.If not I think I know how to send you the file.What is the email address.

Did you ask from me? I haven't played the D-Mod myself, so I don't know the first thing about it.

I would suggest sending it to redink1, if you send it. He's the author of the D-Mod, so he knows most of it.

Oh... that's the problem. There are three ultimate weapons, the Ultimate Sword, Ultimate Bow, and Ultimate Axe. You need all 7 or 8 versions of a weapon (i.e. the Regular Sword, Air Sword, Earth Sword, Water Sword, Fire Sword, Void Sword, Snedfee's Sword, and Gimac's Sword) to create the Ultimate version of that weapon.
